PIXIES Bossanova LP 1990 4AD UK 1st Press Original Sterling Cut CAD0010 NM/NM


This is the 1990 original UK first pressing of Pixies – Bossanova, released on 4AD as catalog number CAD 0010. This copy features the original Sterling Sound lacquer cut, confirmed by the STERLING stamp in the runout along with early metalwork numbers (377321 / 377322).


Bossanova marked the third studio album from Pixies and pushed their sound further into space-surf textures and surreal pop structures. Produced by Gil Norton, the album includes standout tracks such as “Velouria,” “Dig for Fire,” and “Allison.” The record captures the band at a pivotal moment just before alternative rock broke globally in the early 1990s.


This copy is the original UK 4AD first pressing and retains the original artwork presentation designed by Vaughan Oliver with photography by Simon Larbalestier, along with the original printed inner sleeve.


This is a very clean copy sourced from a well-maintained collection.


Sonic note for collectors: this pressing uses the original Sterling Sound mastering lacquer, meaning the grooves derive directly from the original mastering session prepared for the 1990 release.
