PARTY WITH
THE PIXIES THREE

MERCURY STEREO SR 60912 (US stereo LP)

It's "stereo" in quotes here, as the quality of the binaural audio ranges from true to reprocessed fake. Nonetheless, this is the harder-to-find version of this spunky fun-fest from these lovable lasses from Hanover, Pennsylvania.

It's a sort-of sequel, for songwriters/producers JOHN MADARA and DAVID WHITE, to their earlier concept album for THE SHERRYS--the ultra-rare AT THE HOP WITH... (which we, coincidentally, also have for grabs in our current girl-group/Phil Spector auctions). Lots of songs about partying, Kool Aid style, in the squeaky-clean Space Age suburbia celebrated from start to finish in the deep grooves of this 50 year-old platter!

Condition:

JACKET: Plenty of gloss to colorful front panel. Very faint rubwear to lamination on front panel. Spine intact, with all text legible. Corners have slight dings but are pretty nice.

Back panel has mild age discoloration. Embossed word "INSPECTED" to upper right corner. Otherwise, it’s complete and clean. Overall, this sleeve is a solid EX.

VINYL: Lustrous vinyl has some light but visible scuffs, chiefly from the inner paper sleeve. Labels are clean and smooth. Vinyl could use a quick clean-up, and should play very nicely. This disc rates a solid EX.

We'll have a rare mono CANADIAN pressing of this LP up for eBaying soon—among a galaxy of top-tier girl group greats! Please peruse our other offerings!

This is just one of a special collection of the rarest, most desirable PHIL SPECTOR and GIRL GROUP LPs you’ll ever see on eBay—including an extensive selection of the SHIRELLES' Scepter and Pricewise LPs! They're all from the legendary collection of DAVID A. YOUNG! Grab ‘em before they’re gone—you won’t see their likes again!
