COME ON PILGRIM

The first official release (1987) in the short lived career of the Pixies, this 8-track EP grew out of an 18-track demo tape (christened the Purple Tape). Come On Pilgrim is merely an introduction to the style that the Pixies crafted over the next six years. This album rocks from the first track to the last like an earthquake, with the rest of the Pixies albums being the deadly aftershocks. A necessity for any fan, or fledgling fan.

SURFER ROSA

Contested among many fans as “the best Pixies album ever,” Surfer Rosa ups the notch for the Pixies. They weave from song to song, seamlessly changing from fast paced rock to melodious pop. Any true fan of the Pixies will bite at this opportunity to own this album.

DOOLITTLE

The first Pixies album to break into the Billboards Top 100 (peaking at 98) was a more mature sound for the band. By this time they have perfected their pop hooks that get stuck in your ear while they reel you in with the rest of their music. A “must have” for any serious listener of Rock ‘n Roll – a 2003 poll of NME writers ranked Doolittle as the second-greatest album of all time.

BOSSANOVA

Originally released in 1990, Bossanova was the Pixies' third full-length and second collaboration with independent English producer Gil Norton. The album was a noted departure from their unpredictable signature sound and it's considered their first thematic project. Leader Black Francis' songwriting reveals his twisted interpretation of surf music combined with his fascination of aliens and UFOs. The end result is Bossanova, a surf-space rock album that found the Pixies reaching new heights. Pressed on audiophile quality 180g vinyl!

TROMPE Le MONDE

Even though Trompe le Monde (French for 'fool the world') doesn't sound quite like the Pixies' other work, Come on Pilgrim's spooky beginnings, Surfer Rosa's abrasive assault and Doolittle's deceptively accessible punk-pop helped make Trompe le Monde a rousing swan song for the influential legends and it was a precursor to alternative rock's imminent success. Pressed on audiophile quality 180g vinyl!
