Description

PLATH 's/t' 12" (Germany, Mannequin Records, Catalogue #MNQ 087) Brand new/unplayed copy of limited year 2016 Mannequin Records label 12" EP edition of classic 1982 Italian post-punk/industrial 7" EP (expanded now with additional material to 12" EP format.) Kind of like a more aggressive Italian version of "Moscu Esta Helado"/Fix Planet-era Esplendor Geometrico and other obscure early '80s underground/industrial, with abrasive vocals and apt Cabaret Voltaire influences apparent.

(NOTE: LIMITED VINYL EDITION!)

Originally self-released as a 7'' in 1982, Plath's self-titled release is definitely one of the obscure gems of the Italian underground. Plath were a duo from Prato, formed in 1982 by Silvia Innocenti (voice, bass guitar) and Fabrizio Lucarini (synth, drum machine). Plath were influenced by Throbbing Gristle and early Cabaret Voltaire works. A side includes the original single in full, with the classic "I Am Strange Now", recently unearthed by Alessio Natalizia (Not Waving) in his monumental Mutazione (2013). The B side contains a killer percussive edit of Alessandro Adriani made for the most crazy mental dancefloors.

Tracks on this 12" EP are as follows:

A1 I Am Strange Now A2 Proletarian Submission 2 (The Howl) A3 Telik 12345 B1 Proletarian Submission 2 (The Howl)
