Hi and Welcome.
Here for sale, from my personal collection of 500+ vinyl LP's (all of which I will be selling), is an original 1st pressing 1976 US copy on Island Records (IPLS 9412) of the excellent album Burning Spear- Man In The Hills.
The track listing can be seen in the photos. The album has been owned from new and it has only been played somewhere between 6 and 10 times.
I can say from experience that records cannot be accurately graded without playing them, even new, sealed records. They may look pristine yet have crackles, pressing faults etc.
After listening to this record all the way through, I have given it the following gradings (please see the end of this Description section for details of Grading Categories and their definitions) :-
Vinyl LP : NM
Cover : VG+
Paper Inner Sleeve: Non-original
(The photographs should also help to verify the condition/gradings).
I have carefully cleaned the disc on a record cleaning machine, using 'The One' cleaning fluid, before listening to it to grade its condition.
The Vinyl is audibly and visually in NM condition. There is just a little very light crackling in between some of the tracks.
The Cover is in very good condition. The front cover has some wear at the bottom left and to the 4 corners. There is also creasing at the top left. The inside of the gatefold cover has a light vinyl ringmark. The rear cover has a little light wear, vinyl ring marks and a crease in the top right hand corner.
The Album will be despatched with the vinyl inside an archival quality anti-static, anti-dust/dirt, anti-scratch inner sleeve, then, along with the the album cover and the inner sleeve, placed inside a polythene outer sleeve. This will be sent in a double walled cardboard mailer for safety.

Record Collectors Grading System
Mint (M)
The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
Excellent (EX)
The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good (VG)
The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable.
Good (G)
The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
Fair (F)
The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
Poor (P)
The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
Bad (B)
The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
