Description
This record, Broadway 1454, is a very rare, late recording by Paramount, done at their Grafton, Wisconsin studio in 1931, mere months before the company's demise.
"PLEASE DON'T TALK ABOUT ME WHEN I'M GONE" (L-954) is crooned midwestern-style by Frankie Sanders. The five-piece band behind him - cornet, bass sax, accordion, piano and drums - emits a cheap night club vibe that escalates to "Hot" every now and then.
"TWO HEARTS SING IN THREE-QUARTER TIME" (L-1031), is crooned sweetly by the Cardinal Trio, three boys with guitar, bass and intriguing Hawaiian slide guitar. Curious that this song, at first a huge hit in Weimar Germany in 1930, should have found its way to Grafton, Wisconsin by 1931.
This Broadway is in overall Very Good Plus (V+) condition - Some scratches and wear, but essentially intact. "Two Hearts" has yet a little more wear.
