Original Mono LP 1963
Your chance to own a rare example of the1963 Mono pressing of the PLEASE PLEASE ME LP on the UK Parlophone Black and Gold label, number PMC 1202 (Matrices 421-1N and XEX 422-1N), with the front laminated, flipback E.J. Day sleeve.
This is a much sought-after original release of the album in Mono.
The publishing credits are attributed to Dick James Music Co. for Please Please Me, I Saw Her Standing There, Misery, Do You Want to Know a Secret and There’s a Place (before the later pressings were changed to Northern Songs).
With the original polythene lined Emitex inner sleeve, the record is in super condition, no scratches or scuffs, the spindle hole is almost perfect, just one pin prick on each side. We tried to get close-ups of the label and spindle hole when the LP was first listed but this proved impossible to achieve without flashback.. The record sleeve is in good condition, commensurate with its age, just some wear around to edges due to storage.
