GREAT AUDIO.


Released on November the 8th 1971, this Lp was to define the 70's hard rock scene... & what an album!! Entering the UK charts, straight in at the No. 1 position.

Catalogue Number: 2401012 (without any spaces)

Orange & Plum label.

Matrix Numbers:

Side 1: 2401012 A//3 1 2 20

Side 2: 2401012 B//4 1 2 4

PORKY / PECKO etched into the run-out grooves showing this to be mastered by the very well respected George Piros-making the audio stand out loud 'n' proud!



The Vinyl:

Yes....That good.

I have just gently cleaned her with a Pro-Ject VC-s MKII vacuum record cleaner and then listened to her all the way through...

The bass is deep and rich and the highs are simply fantastic....TURN THIS BABY UP-I did!

FLAT as the day she was born.

There are only light marks to the vinyl, which produce the very odd and occasional bit of light background noise in the quiet sections-but nothing at all to ruin my enjoyment of a fantastic album as these were gone as fast as they arrived.

Orange & Plum pressing labels in MAGICAL condition.

A handful of ight spindle marks evident when angled towards the light, with zero central hole wear-please see the detailed images attached.

The Cover:

VG-

Original GATEFOLD cover with some handling and storage wear to her-BUT...it is the first printing run with matte black interior gatefold and not the later glossy and even lighter black inner panels-Please see the pictures provided.

Some knocking to the top and bottom corners of the spine and some rubbing to the edges-with the spine rubbed but not all the way through. There is a split of around 14cm to the top of the back gatefold and another to the bottom of the same panel(where the record is housed) but this wouldn’t be noticeable if it were to be framed.

There are also two small patches of lifting, but nothing terrible at all.

The Inner:

EX

It is an ORIGINAL period inner and has the ‘Foreign Patents Pending’ statement to one side.

Poly-lined and free from rips or writing.
