This marks a first-ever repress of Poison Girlfriend's 1992 album Melting Moment. This was an alias of the little-known Japanese techno pioneer nOriKO and a stunning debut that looked for inspiration in places her sonic forebearers hadn't. It's a sublime mix of leftfield and dream pop that has a very Balearic spirit and draws on the fact she was raised in Brazil, but attended French-run schools. This album was originally going to be a collection of chime-y acoustic music but once she visited a house music club in London her plans changed and she leaned more into body music.
