Port Of Harlem Jazzmen- Rocking The Blues 12" TEST PRESSING! ALTERNATE TAKE!
Single sided shellac record, 78 speed
Mega rare and unissued alternate take of what would eventually become the 3rd Blue Note record ever released! This is probably a one of a kind piece of music history! Great lively jazz band performance with some great solos! The record is single sided, and the label has hand written notes that say Blue Note No. 1001, (517-A), and GM-317-A. GM-317 A is also stamped into the dead wax area. The track was probably recorded on 4/7/1939. The record surface is in nice shape with a few light scuff marks. There is also a slight warp. Plays with noise, but the music can still be enjoyed and appreciated for what it is.
