Description: This is a beautiful still sealed copy of the final Portsmouth Sinfonia LP which was issued in 1979 by the UK Philips label.
Additional Info: Another classic album of pieces as played by the Portsmouth Sinfonia, who, as you probably know, was comprised of both trained musicians as well as amateurs. Their stated goal was to play the works as accurately as possible, and this was usually met with varying degrees of success. This album, their third and last, focuses mainly on rock pieces, with a few pop standards thrown in for good measure. The resulting performances are certainly in a category all of their own, and have mystified and intrigued listeners for decades. This particular record has always been the hardest of the Portsmouth Sinfonia albums to find, so here's a rare chance to add a perfect condition copy to your collection.
