The PORTSMOUTH SINFONIA 20 Classic Rock Classics Philips 9109 231 1979 UK pressing
Perhaps the worst Orchestra in the world - 20 Classic Rock Tracks umm given an orchestral face lift
Conducted by John Farley - I believe the idea behind the Portsmouth Sinfonia was for a group of either non musicians or
accomplished players to get together but not to play their own instrument - so the trombone player
might play cello etc - Their early TRANSATLANIC LPS tackled classical compositions This one takes
on some classic Rock Kinks, WHO, BEach Boys, Stones and Beatles etc

Its either diabolic or genius depending on your sense of humour -

This is their Rarest LP
Condition Sleeve Is Near EXCELLENT with just a small mark on top right corner caused by a small sticker
Disc is Visually Near EXCELLENT - There are two small light marks on Side two track 5 and towards the end of track 6
which are faintly audible - Its worth mentioning that this LP is not a great pressing and all the copies I have heard
have slight pressing flaws - sounding as occasional light tics - so being very strict I am going to grade this as Audibly VERY GOOD
You will be pleased to learn there is no reserve and a lowish starting price
