Extremely rare modern soul album out of the Oxon Hill, MD area. This is the original pressing on Fortress Records from 1978. According to one soul collector's website "most copies of the album were destroyed as a result of complications behind its release by a local business man who financed the entire project..." This is a very tough one to find.

"This record is truly the complete package. For all of the over-hyped "limited run", "private press" let downs that are scarce because they deserve to be, there are LPs like this; fueling the inspiration wake up early and get your hands dirty. From the well executed and evocative layout, to the songwriting, musicianship and production, there is no half-stepping on this one. Afterall, lead vocalist Al Johnson had been doing his thing for well over a decade at this point; writing, producing and performing with the Unifics. The addition of Tiki Fulwood behind the skins(you might know him from his other jobs, Funkadelic, Tyrone Davis, Miles Davis) ensures that the grooves will be funky and the playing tight."  Thank you for looking and good luck bidding.
