POSTCARD RECORDS - ORIGINAL LETTER FROM ALAN HORNE (UK EARLY '80s)

Rare original letter from Alan Horne, founder and owner of the legendary independent Scottish label Postcard Records, based in Glasgow and responsible for introducing some of the greatest bands of the early '80s like Orange Juice / Josef K / Aztec Camera / Go-Betweens etc - also pioneer label for the mid '80s indie-pop / indie rock / C86 genres as well as career-launch label for artists like Edwyn Collins / Paul Haig / Roddy Frame and others.

In the letter Alan Horne mention's debut single 'Falling & Laughing' by Orange Juice saying:
"..Falling and Laughing's don't have postcards - I think we only did about 200 of these and there were 900 'Falling', sorry.."

The letter is not dated but I think it is from the early '80s as this was originally accompanying some shipment of records and the label only lasted till the end of 1981.
