PP ARNOLD, FIRST LADY OF IMMEDIATE, 1968 NEW ZEALAND PRESS, VERY RARE LP

This record has been vacuum machine cleaned and test played in full on quality hi-fi. My grading is based on the UK record collector grading system.  I will gladly combine postage on multiple items so check out my other records. Thanks

Details:- From my own personal collection - Rare 1968 New Zealand pressing of PP Arnold First Lady of Immediate. This record was withdrawn from th UK and issued in New Zealand in tiny numbers so seldom comes up for sale. Released on the Immediate label, catalougue no. IMSP 011. The record comes in front laminated flip-over sleeve.

The first of two albums that former Ikette P.P. Arnold recorded for Andrew Loog Oldham’s Immediate label, and titled — of course — for her role within that organization, The First Lady of Immediate not only represents one of the most phenomenal voices of the age, but also stands as testament to the creative melting pot that was the label’s credo.

Vinyl Condition:-  A strong EX visually, sound quality NEAR MINT. Gleaming vinyl with just a few faint hairlines and sleeve brushings visible when viewed at an angle under bright light. Great condition, lovely clear sound.  Fully test played on Rega RP3 Deck, Rega Elicit-R Amp, Rega RS5 Speakers

Sleeve Condition:- VG+ The front of the sleeve is nice shape and the laminate still has decent shine. There is mild rubbing from the record and rim but this is only visible on the front when you view the laminate at an angle under bright light. The back has a dark mark (see photo above) near the opening edge caused by the record rim. There are two or three light creases on the back around flip-over edge. The edges and corners are nice and crisp. The spine is also very crisp and the text is fully readable.

Label Condition:- EX+ Nice clean labels with just two or three spindle marks on each side. A lightly played rare record

 Grading Abbreviations

Grading below is as stated from UK Record Collector. I also use +/- for records that fall somewhere between a grade

Mint (M)

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent (EX)

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG)

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable

Good (G)

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

Fair (F)

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor (P)

The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler
