P.P. ARNOLD, THE FIRST LADY OF IMMEDIATE 1968 WITHDRAWN UK VINYL LP ON THE FIRST ISSUE LILAC, IMMEDIATE RECORD CO. LTD. LABELS STEREO VINYL LP, Cat No, IMSP 011.

This album is one from a collection of Keith Emerson, and I will supply a letter with the album stating this fact.

Keith Noel Emerson (2 November 1944 – 10 March 2016) was an English keyboardist and composer. Emerson played in a number of bands before he found his first commercial success with the Nice, formerly P. P. Arnold's backing band, in the late 1960s. He became internationally famous for his work with the Nice, which included writing rock arrangements of classical music. After leaving the Nice in 1970, he was a founding member of Emerson, Lake & Palmer (ELP), one of the early progressive rock super groups. Emerson, Lake & Palmer were commercially successful through much of the 1970s, becoming one of the best-known progressive rock groups of the era. Emerson wrote and arranged much of ELP's music on albums such as Tarkus (1971) and Brain Salad Surgery (1973), combining his own original compositions with classical or traditional pieces adapted into a rock format.

Patricia Ann Cole, known professionally as P. P. Arnold (born October 3, 1946, is an American soul singer who enjoyed considerable success in the United Kingdom from the 1960s onwards. Arnold was born into a family of gospel singers, and performed as a vocal soloist for the first time when she was four years old. Her family lived in the African-American Watts ghetto of Los Angeles.   This is the rare 1968 UK debut withdrawn Immediate Record label  LP from Soul Singer and former Ikette, P.P. Arnold. The vinyl LP has the first issue pale lilac Immediate Record Company labels with upper company name-logo and KT tax code on Side 1 and first issue 1 G / 1 G Mother Stampers.

Both record labels are in Excellent Plus to Near Mint condition, bright and undamaged record labels, with just a couple of play signs on each side.

  Side 1 matrix, IMSP 011-1 Y, and Side 2 IMSP 011-2 Y.

The first mother  stampers on side 1 are, 1 G, and side 2, 1 G.

There is a KT Tax Code on the centre of the side 1 record label.

Both sides of the LP are in superb Excellent Plus condition, clean and bright surfaces to both sides, all that is visible are a couple of surface marks, there are no deep scratches.

The LP plays through with superb sound quality with just mild static between tracks.

And is protected in it’s front laminated two flip-back picture sleeve with catalogue number, IMSJ 011, **Please Note** due to this album being withdrawn there wasn’t many sleeves manufactured and this sleeve is the one that the LP came with from Keith Emerson’s collection. The sleeve is in respectable Very Good Plus condition, and shows LP indentation on the front, some laminate pinches and corner bumps, all edges are free from splits.
