A/B Grade: VG/VG Condition (Wow, does this play much better than than it looks. Solid copy of this great.) -A-side plays incredibly clean after the initial noisy needle drop (about 2-3 seconds). There is a negligible hiss under the music, but overall this track is loud and clear. -B-side plays with very loud crackle for the first 5 seconds or so then it subsides. Very clean sound throughout with only a light hiss underneath the music. -Record has a slight edge warp as the case is with most of these Jamaican 45s. Barely noticeable, even on the platter. -A-side has mostly light surface scratching but some thin deeper cuts too (two of which are very noticeable) -B-side is about the same condition but with one longer cut and a small pen point sized indent from the pressing plant -A side labels are plain black and b-side is red (see pictures) -There is writing in black ink and red marker on both sides -FOR MORE DETAILED INFORMATION PLEASE SEE PICTURES OR CONTACT ME
Incredibly rare pre/blank label from Eric "Monty" Morris with the tracks from the 1964 UK label Rio - "Little District" and "True & Just." Legendary original vocalist of The Skatalites these ska foundation 45s don't show up often so don't sleep!
Check out my other auctions. I will be gradually listing a small collection of reggae/dub/ska/calypso/dancehall LPs, 45s and cassettes over the next few weeks. From 1960s all the way up the 1990s. Very diverse.

NOTE: If you require a clip of the sound I will create a youtube video of it spinning on my player at a request. I don't have a turntable that is able to take the sound clip so this is the best I can do to accommodate you.
PLEASE DO NOT BID OR BUY IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH / UNDERSTAND THE FOLLOWING:
GRADING SYSTEM: M- Mint Minus - A nearly perfect, almost unplayed record. EX+ Excellent Plus - Almost new with only a few superficial signs of use that don’t affect play. Only well cared for vinyl will be graded at to EX+. Will satisfy all but the most demanding collector. EX Excellent - A used, reasonable copy. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of light surface noise between tracks and passages, but still quite nice. EX- Excellent Minus - Significant wear and marks and usually very light surface noise. VG+ Very Good Plus - From here on down (VG, VG-, G) is regular condition for 2nd hand records imported from Jamaica, we're talking about beat-up records. VG Very Good - Record is worn but glossy. Noticeable scratches or scuffs, minor surface noise. VG- Very Good Minus - Even worse beat-up record. Well-played record with more noticeable scratches, deeper scratches may be noted, and scuffs, may have more distracting surface noise. Still plays through without any skips(any complaints not accepted for VG- graded record, please review detailed notes for this grade and below). G Good - Worst condition of beat-up record. Trash record with major noise, surface damage, deep scratches, and skips.(any complaints not accepted for G graded record)
Jamaican pressings often are of lower pressing quality. I grade visually and listen to each record before selling. I will not sell damaged, inaudible records (in the rare occasion I do, I will SPECIFICALLY mention it). Often my comments may make a record sound worse than it actually is, so if you have any concerns with what is mentioned please contact me. Often people tell me I grade lower than what the record actually is, but I like to be safe & conservative. The pictures are also a resources to understand the condition of the record as if you are shining a bright light on it to see every detail.
My turntable plays these records just fine and be aware that poor quality turntables may have a problem with these. You may have to adjust the counter weight. I play these with a normal, recommended tonearm weight (no counterweight adjustments).
Most of you who collect Reggae/Ska/Dancehall/Rocksteady records already know most of this, but I want to make sure everyone understands. I have been selling records for several years and my feedback is flawless and I intend on keeping it that way.
