Description
Up for auction is a super rare copy of the album "Preston Love's Omaha Bar-B-Q" featuring Shuggie Otis on guitar released on Kent Records (KST 540) in 1969. This is an original first pressing, not a cheap re-issue like most floating around today. This is also a promotional copy, as can be seen by the stick on the front cover. The gatefold cover is in great shape, very clean. Front has no ring wear or other signs of use. Corners are sharp, not bumped. Seams are tight and intact. Rear cover shows some minor ring wear on top and bottom. Overall, a very attractive, well-preserved cover. Grade it Near Mint Minus (NM-). The vinyl is equally nice, retaining its original gloss and luster. No obvious scratches or scuffs. No marks around spindle hole, indicating very little previous play or handling. Very superficial signs of disc having been pulled out of paper inner sleeve. I've play tested this record, and it sounds great, no surface or background noise. Music is clear and clean. Grade the vinyl Near Mint Minus (NM-). This is an exceptional original copy of this highly collectable funk classic.
