TITLE: S F SORROW
DESCRIPTION: This is THE FIRST THEME ALBUM with the story by no other than Phil May !!!
It was released in 1968 a year BEFORE The Who released TOMMY.
It charts the birth of the boy (S F SORROW) through his life and the troubles that befall him
surrounded by larger than life characters and strange happenings.
It takes young Sebastian into the forces as Private Sorrow and what he encounters in his fighting.
Running eventually into old age and finally into his loneliest with a haunting song at the end called loneliest person.
(Shall we say somewhat coincidental similarities to Tommy which purports to be the first 'theme album'
and which followed on very quickly after S F Sorrow was conceived and released by The Pretty Things).
The cover opens into a double spread of stunning graphics, way ahead of its time and providing the lyrics
and importantly an understanding of the lyrics.

Wally Allen on bass guitar, guitars, vocals, wind instruments & piano
Dick Taylor on lead guitar & vocals
John Povey on organ, sitar, percussion & vocals
