How’s this for a Fab Four? You’re bidding on an incredible quartet of “She Loves You” variations that you’d pay a whole lot more for separately.

SHE LOVES YOU / I’LL GET YOU. SWAN S-4152 BLACK WITH SILVER PRINT.

Released in January, 1964, you might say that this is the one that started it all for American teens (like me). Or at least ONE of the ones! It has all the identifications you’re looking for: Don’t Drop Out on the upper left, no quotes on the title, and—most importantly—the “Mastering Reco-Art Phila.” and 1/8” S-4152-S/I” stamping in the trail-off area (SEE PHOTO). The label is flawless, and the audio is amazingly close to near mint.

You’ll also get the HIGHLY-PRIZED picture sleeve. It’s in very good shape, with no seam splits or tears. There are two initials on one side.

Swan released the German version of “She Loves You” in May 1964. The Beatles (or Die Beatles, as it appears on the label) had recorded it earlier in the year while in Paris. The sound is great, there’s only a bit of ringwear, and the trail-off area has the VIRTUE STUDIO hand-etched marking (SEE PHOTO). This RARE disc was pressed at the Philadelphia plant.

SHE LOVES YOU / I’LL GET YOU. CAPITOL OF CANADA 72125

Capitol 72125 was the first Beatles disc to hit the number one spot in Canada. It went "Top 5" on Toronto's CHUM chart for December 23rd, 1963, more than a month before they appeared for the first time on Ed Sullivan. This disc is wonderful, with amazing audio and two outstanding labels, with only slight ringwear and a small, faint name on the B side.

The red-on-white “She Loves You” was a first pressing, released in late 1963. It is a rare find today. NOTE THAT THIS DISC IS VERY LIKELY A GOOD COUNTERFEIT (MOST OF THE SURVIVING DISCS ARE), AND I HAVE TAKEN THAT INTO CONSIDERATION IN THE AUCTION’S PRICING. That said, it looks and sounds fabulous, so enjoy it anyway.
