Hello and welcome to the Highlander Treasure House! (HTH Rare Vinyl) We sell most everything at a HUGE discount just for you!!!
(This is the vinyl record section of Rock, R&B, Jazz, Country, Blues, Folk, Pop, Easy Listening, Big Band, Instrumental, Metal and other LP sections, including Holiday, Gospel, Comedy, Surf, Hot Rod, Motorcycles & Drag racing, etc.)
We grade our records, LPs, EPs and 45s using the standard guidelines found in Goldmine's Record Album Price Guide and Jerry Osborne Official Price Guide. It still comes down to our own personal opinion and assessment of condition.
Our grade given for each album is located in the title or just below at the top of the page, cover first / then vinyl (example: VG/VG+ this means the cover or jacket is Very Good and the vinyl is Very Good Plus) or if both are graded the same, there will only be one grade given.
FIRST: PLEASE VIEW PHOTOS OF RECORD AND JACKET BEFORE BIDDING OR BUYING - THIS IS THE EXACT ITEM YOU WILL BE SENT.
Grading is as follows:
MINT - Forget about it! Often rumored but rarely seen .
NEAR MINT - A good description of NM is it simply looks like it was just store bought, opened and played. Looks nearly perfect, but because of overly picky collectors, we will only grade albums NM if unopen, which may or may not have a factory flaw on the cover.
VERY GOOD PLUS - VG+ has faint signs of wear. May or may not have light scratches, faint surface noise if any, even minor warping as long as playability is not effected. Basically better than average and well cared for. VG++ even better.
VERY GOOD - A record in VG (average or common condition) Cover has more wear and may or may not have writings, ring wear, etc. The vinyl (same condition as above) with a few more noticeable surface marks or scuffs and will have some light to moderate surface noise, but does not skip! Still looks OK and should play well enough. Just not VG+ condition. .
GOOD - The G graded records show heavy use. Both cover and/or vinyl have seen better days and yet can still be very collectable. They are mostly used as filler records till sharper ones come along. The covers may have all the same issues as the VG jackets with a little more distressed condition like water exposure, stains, excessive writing, worn corners, seam separation, etc. The vinyl plays from beginning to end without skipping, but many more surface imperfections than a VG record. These are well handled and well loved. Don't discard these, enjoy them (I do!) You may not be able to replace them. Good Plus (G+) falls somewhere between G and VG.
We do a light D4 cleaning (not to be confused with a thorough cleaning, which is recommended) We ship in professional record mailers with bubble wrap. Cardboard inserts are added if the record is not in a Gatefold or Tri-fold forum.
Our shipping and handling is low at $4.95 in the U.S. and only $12.00 to Canada ( $1.00 for each record after that) We charge $24.00 shipping outside the country and only $3.50 for each additional record.
