Description
This is a fine original U.S. pressing copy (the Allied pressing for those into the minutiae) of Prince's sixth LP, and first released under the name Prince and the Revolution, released in 1984. The record features music from the feature film of the same name. It spawned four top ten pop hits, two of them ("When Doves Cry" and "Let's Go Crazy") reaching #1, and a third (the title track) peaking at #2. The LP itself was also a yuge seller, reaching #1 on the U.S. album chart, and going into the top ten across the world. The jacket is still in the original shrink wrap, with a hype sticker and three small stickers on the front cover. It has a couple of small tears on and some light staining (from water?) along the spine, and some light wear along the exposed opening, but is otherwise close to pristine -- EX(-). The disc is clean with a few fingerprints and some light scraping and scuffing, and it plays with some light surface noise (EX-). NB: It would benefit from a good cleaning. The record comes with a poster (EX: some light rippling, no holes or tears) and a custom inner sleeve (VG+: 2” split in one seam, some light staining and rippling).
I’m helping a friend sell his personal collection. I have play graded (spot checked) discs. The jackets will be shipped in plastic sleeves with the discs removed from them.
