All in all, condition is very good; I opened these albums, played them a few times, and that is what shows in the condition.
“Purple Rain”: LP, sleeve, cover, and original poster. This is my purchase from the 80’s, and I can’t grade vynil, so see photos and detailed description here. I kept the album in its original shrink wrap and the one side is opened, see photo. So the album cover is in great shape, but the top and bottom right corners are a little worn, and if you look at the album cover from the inside, there is a little bit of yellowing on that exposed edge but it’s not visible from the outside. No ink is worn off the sleeve, but one side edge has been torn about 2.5” by the record inside. Worst problem is that I put a 1cm x 7cm label with my name on it in the bottom left corner on the back, but it doesn’t cover any type or special images (see photo; I photo-shopped my name just for the photo). The record itself looks unplayed (the songs were on the radio all the time, who needed to spin their own vinyl?). I don’t have a receiver right now to see how it sounds, but I spun it on my turntable, and it looks really flat.
Parade: 1LP in a bi-fold jacket. No original shrink-wrap on this one, so the areas of Prince's shirt that are solid black show a little bit of scuffing; no ink loss, just a loss of shine. Same thing with one side of the inner sleeve that has a lot of black ink on it. No tears on inner sleeve. LP is clean and flat.
