Description
PRINCE - GOTTA STOP (MESSIN' ABOUT)(1981/ UK Warner Bothers/ LV 47):
This single was not an album track, though it was written at the same time as the tracks on Prince's third album, Dirty Mind" & it has a similar sound. This was the first time Prince released a non-album track, & it would start a long tradition of him doing this throughout the 1980s.
This copy is the rarer first press - not the "tiger sleeve" version - & features "Uptown" - rather than "I Wanna Be Your Lover" - on the b-side along with "Head". This copy has no sticker on the sleeve.

Vinyl - Excellent with very little wear.
Sleeve - G to VG is about right because it has some creasing & considerable wear along the top edge. There are no splits, but the top edge is worn white & the word "PRINCE" is stained & slightly damaged (see photo). There are also some very small speckles in places on the front photograph. The spine is strong, as are the other edges. The back surface is slightly better than the front. No writing on the sleeve by previous owner. (No sticker on front.)
Bear these things in mind if considering a bid, but the vinyl is excellent & the record is exceptionally rare.
Labels - very clean & undamaged with no writing.
