PRINCE My Name Was Prince - Grey market LP Vinyl Edition of Rare 1993 Japanese CD - SEALED & MINT!
For the discerning Prince collector, here's a REAL interesting item: Somebody pressed up a two LP vinyl edition of the CRAZY RARE 12 track promotional-only CD issued in 1993 exclusively to executives at Warner Music Japan.
It's basically a terrific greatest hits album, and how many of THESE could have been pressed? I'm guessing somewhere between 1,000 and 2,500 worldwide, possibly less. I grabbed a copy of this at the Amoeba San Francisco store in August 2016 and I've NEVER seen another copy since then.
Condition: The LP is SEALED and MINT. However, it looks like the distributor shipped these without shrink wrap and Amoeba sealed it with their own heavy wrap, security strips and tape. As I've noted in other auctions, Amoeba always uses a WHITE price sticker for NEW lps, and a YELLOW sticker for used copies. The white sticker is your guarantee that this album is new/sealed/as purchased from the store.
Final note: The rear cover only lists 11 tracks. However, the 12th track, "Pink Cashmere" is on LP2 Side 4.
About Me: I'm a long time Ebay buyer intent on selling a significant portion of my LP collection over the next year or two (or three!). I believe in the auction process, so I'm NOT going to list records at absurdly high prices, and I look forward to getting rare, out of print records into the hands of music lovers, record collectors and audiophiles (I consider myself all of the above).
