Description
In the late 1970's my wife's mother, my mother in-law was the station manager at KMOJ Radio in North Minneapolis, a small public/community radio station catering to the areas African-American population. At the time it was the only place you would here 'black' music in the Twin Cities and many great artists passed through their doors and talked over their airwaves, including a young PRINCE!
This is an AUTOGRAPHED copy of Prince's sophomore, Self-titled release from 1979 signed in the station when he was there to make an on air appearance. As any fan knows Prince skyrocketed to super stardom a few years later and has singed virtually nothing for his fans since around 1982. I admit the album is in fair/good condition and there is some ware and a few creases in the cover (it is 36 years old after all), but lets face it the value is in the signature. I would defy any collector to find another piece of music memorabilia like this one.
We'll have to see if this auction goes on long enough for a lucky fan/collector to own this piece of history before Prince himself tries to get it stopped, he is notorious for such efforts. Good luck I hope this LP finds a good home.
