QUINTESSENTIAL BRITISH progressive rock institution. Rose to fame in the sixties as a primo psychedelic outfit but by the time they recorded this album the bands progressive elements were all persuasive honing in on a great style driven by Gary Brooker's incredible voice. The other oustanding element of the band was guitarist Robin Trower whose passion for Hendrix began to really shine - the track 'Song For A Dreamer' is, in fact, a peon to the great man himself who had died the previous year. Trower's influence is vast and its no surprise that he left the band following this album to strike out on a highly successful solo career.

Thi is a lovely album from a superior band with all the right elements and key ingrediants of beautifully crafted progressive rock. Highly recommended.

Beautiful copy - the die cut sleeve is in superb condition - no bends or creases on the die cut edges!

Pressing: A&M, USA, 1971 - Original Tan/Brown labels

Vinyl: Beautiful pristine and shiny condition. No spindle marks on label and no other signs of use whatsoever - I would say unplayed! Grades as top shop fresh MINT-!

Cover: Again no signs of any use. Issued in a beautifully designed die cut gate fold 'unipak' style cover displaying original printers finish. A tough one to find in decent shape as the die cuts are often bent or torn - this one is in great shape except with no flaws, rips or wear. Sharp corners, one barely noticeable ding, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is stiff and straight. Impossible to find like this after 43 years. Grades as top shop fresh MINT-!
