Format:  BBC Transcription Services vinyl pressings were special discs produced by the BBC from the mid‑1930s through the 1980s for one purpose: to distribute BBC radio programmes to overseas broadcasters under time‑limited licences. They are now prized by collectors because many BBC broadcasts survive only through these discs. Typically, only ~100 copies of each disc were pressed.

 

Condition: Outer BBC due-cut sleeve in thin card is in very good plus (+) condition with minor creasing, minor edge wear and some signs of minor age ‘spotting’. Die cut paper sleeve is un-lined and in a similar very good plus (+) condition with no splits and moderate storage creasing. The vinyl is in excellent condition, with minimal signs of play, and couple of finger marks from handling, and very minor hairlines. Please note one of the labels has moderate age spotting. This has been play tested, and Please note there is a pressing issue with this copy of the vinyl and it ‘sticks’ on the track ‘Aqualung’. I have tried washing the record but to no avail it still sticks!  My Marantz deck is quite sensitive and the performance may vary, but please bid with this knowledge, and opening price at £99p plus buyers fees on this basis.
