CONDITION: MINT w/o SHRINK WRAP (Unfortunately, I made the mistake of opening this set to see what was inside. My Bad! However, I did not play them.
SELLER NOTES: According to the “The Skeptical Audiophile”, the standard Classic Records' failings are as obvious and as irritating on their remasters. Their reissued Mercury 'Love of the Three Oranges Suite" is no exception, as they are on practically all the others. A lack of ambience. Smeary and hard strings. A lack of "Tubey Magic." Overall. a veiled and recessed presentation. In summary, Classic Records made very few good records, including this one.
This Prokofiev "Love for the Three Oranges" remaster was not done by Classic Records. It was pressed at RIT in a limited numbered edition. These are by bar the best sounding Mercury reissues and are very close to the audio quality of the original 1958 recordings.
