FIRST UK STEREO PRESSING ON COLUMBIA SAX 2375

BLUE / SILVER LABEL

This is one from my personal collection.  A rare and excellent copy of one of the best and rarest from the Columbia SAX series.  I am not a dealer, simply a lover of fine music. I am parting with some rare and valuable items over the next few weeks so keep looking. There may be something that interests you.

This is a lovely early copy of the classic piece by Prokofiev . I will describe the condition but first take a look at the pictures and see for yourself.  I take photographs from all angles so you can see exactly what is on offer.  Nothing is hidden as seems to be the way with some sellers these days.

This record has been stored upright in a dark cupboard in a protective cover for many years.  It has rarely been played since it was bought but I have listened to it in its entirety today prior to listing.  The playing surfaces are near perfect with a few very fine whispy lines visible under strong light. The analogue sound is remarkable, just a few very light background pops are audible on playback.  The visual and audio grade is EXCELLENT+.  I must mention that the disc does not sit perfectly flat on the deck and some horizontal movement of the playing arm is noticeable. This has no impact on the quality of the audio experience .

The Garrod & Lofthouse cover has no creases, marks or writing.  The laminated front shines like new, the flipbacks and spine are perfect.  The original EMI gold stereo sticker is still in place but and is undamaged. There is some yellowing to the rear panel , more noticeable at the opening edge. The cover is graded as EXCELLENT + .

The record is housed in its original polythene lined EMI inner sleeve.  It has some yellowing and creasing but remains in EXCELLENT  condition.

It would be difficult to find a better copy of this record as it was pressed in such tiny quantities.  I have sold many records on Ebay of all genres, including classical, jazz, rock and others.  You can see my feedback if you wish.  I grade strictly and honestly as I know the importance of accuracy when it comes to selling to discerning audiophile collectors.

Postage is available worldwide and will be by UK 1st Class Recorded / International Signed for with insurance to cover the final price of the item.  Please do not pay until I send the invoice.  Returns are accepted within 14 days of receipt if the buyer is not satisfied.  This is subject to the safe return of the item.  I do not give partial refunds.  My records are sent in high quality cruciform mailers so the record will reach you in perfect condition.

Thankyou for taking the time to read this listing. If you have any questions I will try to answer them promptly.
