Description
This is an EXTREMELY rare 1st MONO UK Pressing of the 1967 TRAFFIC debut album - Mr. Fantasy
On ISLAND RECORDS PINK Label with 'orange eye' logo - REF ILP-961 Run off matrices are the earliest possible A2//B2
MONO issue, the rarest possible format of this classic.
The Record : This is a strong EX+ - just one or two very light surface marks to mention. The vinyl has retained its sheen nicely and both labels are clean, free from writing or marks with just a little spindle wear when held to the light.
Inner sleeve is a plain white centre hole - a little discoloured but no splits.....if it matters as theyre quite generic
Outer sleeve is a VG , This is the original gatefold with a singly ply front and naturally double at the back to contain the record. Back inner is a triple flip back and back and front are laminated (inner gatefold is not which is correct) there is some light creasing and very very light ringwear to the back. Spine is flattened but still perfectly readable with nice clear writing. In a couple of places the laminate is slightly separated from the picture with small splits in the laminate.

The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be Mint. Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing. Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
