Psychedelic Aliens PSYCHO AFRICAN BEAT ltd ed 7" box

2010 Academy records, unbelievable box set of music rescued from oblivion by the heroic efforts of Academy and Frank Gossner (with assistance from Uchena at Comb & Razor, and Miles at Soundway, as well as plenty of others in Africa and across the globe).  A rare and powerful combination of garage rock, funk and hypnotic African grooves from this short-lived Ghanian band who only released 3 singles during their short life.  It took many years and lots of sleuthing to uncover the mystery and actually contact the band, but it was well worth it.  This is the LIMITED EDITION 7-inch box set (according to our contact at Academy, they have already sold out of them, whatever retailers and distributors have the stock, that's it.)  Nice heavy box includes four 7-inch records lovingly remastered (very good sound, better than some of the Soundway remasters), plus a booklet with info and interview, and a cloth patch to sew on your record bag, leather jacket, etc. (I wish they would include 2 patches, since I know most record fiends will want to keep the set complete and wont use the patch, but you only get one patch).  The IDEAL gift for the music loving record nerd in your life (I say that knowing full well that you are going to want to keep this for yourself when you see it.)

Canada: $6 for the first record, $2 for each additional record

Europe and most of the world: $15 for the first record, and $3.50 for each additional record


For large quantities  (more than 10 records) please inquire about actual shipping costs.  Double albums count as 2 records, triple albums count as 3 records , and so on. . . .

We sympathize with the high level of taxation faced by our international friends, but import tax policy is an issue for you to take up with your local government. We fill out all customs forms accurately; please do not request us to falsify customs documents.

SHIPPING TIME AND RETURN POLICY:

SHIPPING: we ship within 2 business days of payment most of the time (orders place over the weekend obviously won't be processed until the following Monday (or Tuesday for many US holidays).  We ship US MAIL, 1st class for cds, media mail for vinyl, and 1st class international for all overseas orders (large orders may require Priority Mail International), actual shipping time varies, often it is surprisingly quick. 

RETURNS: we generally do not accept returns except if something is not as described, and we take care to make sure everything fits our description.  Most of what we sell is not used but new-condition old stock, so it is rare that something is unsatisfactory.  Sometimes cds or LPs will have a "cut-out" slice or "promo punch" either in the corner or through the UPC code-- we will include this in the description if necessary.  If there is a problem with an item contact us and we will decide on what action to take.  We do NOT accept returns if you decide you simply don't like the item, or have buyer's remorse-- buy wisely, and ask questions if necessary.  Damage incurred during shipping should be brought up with the carrier, we try to box everything adequately, including using extra cardboard for protection.
