Description

Ultra-rare unofficial LP featuring PiL's second ever gig in Paris on 14th December 1978. As far as i know there is no recording of PiL's first gig in Brussels a few days earlier so this is the first recordings of PiL after John left the Sex Pistols - there are 2 PiL renditions of Pistols songs (Belsen , Problems) which are particularly interesting, especially as Sid Vicious was doing solo gigs and playing Belsen at the same time.

Quality of the recording is good.

Tracks are: THEME / LOW LIFE / ANNALISA / PUBLIC IMAGE / BELSEN WAS A GAS / ATTACK / PROBLEMS / RELIGION.

The cover is interesting - it looks like just a normal white sleeve and the manufacturer has got a stamp to do both the pink PiL sign and the green title - looks very unusual and cool. No writing on the back - someone has hand written the track listing and date on the inner sleeve. Incidentally the full title is 'RECORDED LIVE IN PARIS WHEN NOBODY WAS LOOKING'.

Condition is Near Mint - no dents on sleeve, record is immaculate.

I dont know if this was produced in 1979 but it is at least 15 years old and i have a feeling that it's much, much older. The reserve price i've put on reflects what the item is worth to me but i think it is worth much more - another piece of the Sex Pistols potted musical history after the band folded.
