VINYL is NEAR MINT-
Super clean Vinyl is gorgeous glossy and lustrous with only a very few inaudible faintest sleeve hairlines, viewed under hard bright light. Bright clean labels both sides.

COVER is VG+
Snapping bright and vibrant Gatefold cover is super clean, crisp and sharp-edged all around with a mere touch of shelf wear. One tiny (2 mm) 'push' split at center of top seam only. Some edge and corner creases. Inside gatefold is extremely clean with no wear. Flat smooth spine with 100% legible, sharp spine titles print.

PUNISHMENT OF LUXURY (or PUNILUX as they were affectionately known) looked to become a huge phenomenon in the overall vein as P.I.L., Killing Joke and The Damned - but their label UNITED ARTISTS UK was floundering and indeed while their next LP, a highly acclaimed concept album, to be called GIGANTIC DAYS was in final stages of recording, United Artists (UK) were taken over by EMI, who dropped the band. THAT album languished in the vaults for decades, with only limited band-issued cassette tapes trading hands, until finally "GIGANTIC DAYS The Shelved LP" was officially issued in 1998.

From an utterly vast and deep record collection, from my life-long best friend
who was a DJ at the Radio Station I co-founded in the 1970's - and who worked for me at my California record store in the '70s and '80s. . Sadly he has now left this mortal coil, bequeathing me his deep Vinyl Mine.
