Naya Beat, which translates from Hindi as 'new beat', continues on its mission to unearth foundational sounds from the subcontinent and South Asian diaspora through reissues, remixes and compilations. On this new long player the label has tracked down the original stems and recordings of Puthli's most seminal albums, including 'The Devil is Loose', and has worked with her to select a series of producers to add their own spin to the vocal source material. As such we get plenty of sublime deep disco sounds with a real cosmic twist from the likes of Maurice Fulton, Psychemagik, Turbotito & Ragz and many more.
