'PYRRHIC VICTORY' - V/A - C/Z RECORDS - 1986

This is a VERY mysterious release - add to that - I'm much much too lazy to research it.  Was this C/Z's first release?  Was this a C/Z promo only item?  Was this an official C/Z release?  Was this released by C/Z?  Questions, questions.  I must have obtained this via mail order.  There is no information or insert.  All bands contribute one song.  And the bands!  Most I have never heard of.  I quess you could call this kind of grungey or rockin' or arty - take your pick!  You get TEN MINUTE WARNING - very slickly produced wanky metal - VEXED - FEEDBACK - MENTAL MANNEQUIN who I believe sound something like EMERSON, LAKE, & PALMER meet KRAFTWERK meet KING CRIMSON - THE FAGS - COLOUR TWIGS - SKIN YARD who do an awesome BOWIE/SLEEPERS thingy which I find VERY hep - THE PROBES - THE HORRIBLE TRUTH - and lastly SOUNDGARDEN - this track, which I am going to guess is titled 'ASSASSIN' should be of interest to GARDEN fans - I do not believe it is available anywhere else but here!  VERY early recording of the band - CHRIS CORNELL's voice has yet to mature into that wailing style that we all love or hate!  Odd/unique item.  Also - hand numbered - an edition of 250 - you get number 240.  Get adventurous - bid!
