Panama Limited Jug Band – 1969 LP Harvest SHVL 753.
This is an annoying example of the LP Panama Limited Jug Band by the Panama Limited Jug Band. It was released on the Harvest label in 1969 – SHVL 753. Annoying – because it came from a collection that has not been very well looked after. I went through a large box of records where most of them had been so damp at some time that many of the covers were stuck together and totally wrecked. This was one of a few that were just about OK – although it does have some water staining on both panels of the gatefold cover, and at the bottom right corner of the front panel there is some bumping / grazing. The top and bottom inch of the spine are also feathered / grazed, although it is not split or anything like that. It grades around VG to VG+.The record itself is also annoying as it is only in around VG condition. It has been played quite a lot and has acquired some minor scratches and scuffing – typical of a VG record. I am playing it as I am typing this and it is not perfect but also there is nothing disastrous. No major scratches so no terrible ‘pops’ etc. But as I say – annoying – mainly because this is the early pressing with no EMI on the labels and the Sold in the UK text is printed over five short lines at the top of the label.
