Panbers (kurzform für "Panjaitan Brothers") ist eine Indonesische Rockband, die 1969 gegründet wurde. Sie waren unter den ersten, die das Konzept der "Band" in die indonesische Musikszene zurückbrachten (welche in den späten 60ern größtenteils dominiert war von Sängern mit gebuchten Studiobands), und veröffentlichten ihr Debüt-Album 1972, welches bis heute als ein Psychedelic/Progressive-Meilenstein der indonesischen Musikgeschichte gilt. Sie veröffentlichten bis Ende 1973 nicht weniger als 8 (!) Studio-Alben auf dem Mesra-Label, von denen alle mittlerweile Sammlerstücke sind, welche (wenn auch nur auf CD) wiederveröffentlicht wurden.Von da an veröffentlichten sie ihre weiteren Alben auf dem Remaco-Label.
Dies ist die siebte der MESRA-LPs, sie trägt den Titel Kali Ciliwung (übersetzt "Fluss Ciliwung" - ein Fluss, der durch die Hauptstadt Jakarta fließt).

Panbers (short for "Panjaitan Brothers") is an Indonesian rock band, founded in 1969. They were arguably among the first to bring back the concept of "bands" to the country (the Indonesian music scene in the late 60s was mainly dominated by "singers" backed with session musicians), and started off with their debut album in 1972, which is regarded a psychedelic / progressive rock milestone in indonesian music to this day. They went on to release no less than 8 (!) studio albums until the end of 1973 on the Mesra label, all of which are collectibles and have been re-issued (albeit only on CD).They continued to release titles on the Remaco label from then on.
This is the seventh of their MESRA LPs, titled Kali Ciliwung (simply meaning "Ciliwung River" - a river that flows through the capital Jakarta).
