Description

After 32 years of buying punk rock records - with no plans of stopping - storage is becoming an issue so it's time to offload a few. The records I am listing are mainly doubles which I have either bought in error or replaced because I've found a better copy.

I am a fan, not a trader. I’ve only recently started selling stuff but my feedback remains at 100% positive from a vast number of purchases and also for my 1st few sales - all at 5 stars for all categories. Please check it out as I intend to maintain that rating.

I didn’t have time to listen to some of these records before listing them so if you feel the item is not as described then please contact me and I will consider a refund for returns. My descriptions are intended to be overly cautious to avoid disappointment.

I will be very happy to answer questions about the listing but please note that I have to work for a living so I will only be able to reply outside of working hours.

The Parasites - It's Alive LP - Cover of entire Ramones Live LP (Japanese single LP edition!!) played by this awesome US Pop-Punk band, on Green Swirled vinyl - Yes, this is the tour edition in the felt, silk screened sleeves - Limited edition of 1700 overall, only 300 of which were this extremely limited tour edition - recorded live at the home of US Pop Punk, Gilman St, on New Years Eve (dedication to authenticity or what!!!) in 1996.

Long out of print, this rarely becomes available. I already had this and then got it again a few years ago in a job lot I bought from a guy who had created either the old Skullduggery or Clearview website, when he was emigrating to NZ and wanted some cash. I don't need 2 copies of this so here goes.

This record has been signed by the band but the ink has kind of evaporated over the years and all you can see now are the faintest remnants – at least it means you can see the sleeve in its intended glory!

So; someone decided that as all of the top US pop-punk bands in the 90's wanted to be the Ramones, he'd give them the chance to be so. The likes of Screeching Weasel, Vindictives, Queers, MTX, Boris The Sprinkler and so on got the chance to go into the studio and record an entire Ramones LP all the way through. Boris the Sprinkler wanted to do this one but Clearview (the label) wouldn't allow a double LP so they backed down. The Parasites however recalled that the Japanese version of It's Alive was a single LP and they decided to do that; to which of course, Clearview agreed. Much to the disappointment of Rev Norb as he sets out in the hilarious insert to this record. Long out of print and this is another of the ones that seems to come up less often. Good luck with this.

The sleeve is in almost mint condition but for the fading band signatures mentioned above – it is 2 separate pieces of felt held together in a poly cover.

There is a plain white inner sleeve and a double sided insert. 1 side has Rev Norb (Boris the Sprinkler) ranting on about how he wanted to do this record and the 2nd side is a mock-up of the original lyric sheet, with between song comments typed out too - often hilariously inaccurately. A great addition to this package.

The record is in great condition with few, if any, hairline marks and no scratches.

Visual Grading:

Sleeve: Excellent w/band autographs – see above

Disc: Excellent - see details above

Classic Ramones LP given loving and energetic treatment:

Side 1: Rockaway beach / Teenage lobotomy / Blitzkrieg bop / Gimme gimme shock treatment / You're gonna kill that girl / I don't care / Sheena is a punk rocker / Havana affair / Commando / Cretin hop

Side 2: Listen to my heart / California sun / I don't wanna walk around with you / Pinhead / Do you wanna dance? / Judy is a punk / Suzy is a headbanger / Oh Oh I love her so / Now I wanna sniff some glue / We're a happy family

Keep checking back as I'll be listing a few more like these for most of the next few weeks.

Important change to postage details, please note carefully.

I have just lost a lot of money on posting my 1st set of sales and as I am selling at low prices I can’t afford to do this. I have therefore regrettably had to make my postage costs more realistic.

The revised charges are based entirely on cost as I do not charge for packaging. I tend to recycle packaging but I only use quality items and use strong stiffeners – which is half the reason why the costs have been so high. The other half of the reason is the Royal Mail’s recent price hike.

Postage for LP’s will be by Royal Mail 1st Class ‘Signed for’ in the UK. I will do these not signed for but this is entirely at your own risk. Ask for the cost when you win the item but as a guide, 1-2 LP’s 1st class would be £2.70 or for 2nd class £2.20.

All overseas items will be sent basic airmail. Please ask before bidding if insurance is required. If you are in Italy, South Africa, South America, Indonesia or Malaysia I accept no responsibility for lost parcels unless you pay extra for insurance. If you want to take insurance please contact me when you win the item and I will arrange a quote for you and invoice you accordingly.

UK: £3.65 for 1 or 2 LPs, £5.25 for 3 LP’s.

Europe: £4.85 for 1 LP, £6.75 for 2 LP’s, £7.85 for 3 LP’s

US, Canada, South America: £8.00 for 1 LP, £10.50 for 2 LP’s, £14.00 for 3 LP’s

Japan, Australia, Rest of world: £8.50 for 1 LP, £11.00 for 2 LP’s, £14.50 for 3 LP’s

Please note that double LP’s will have to be classed as 2 LP’s.
