Description

Here is a great release on the Mercury Living Presence label (SR90281). Paul Paray conducts the Detroit Symphony Orchestra in performances of Debussy's Nocturnes for Orchestra - Clouds, Festivals, Sirens, and Ravel's second suite from Daphnis and Chloe. The is the first press with stampers RFR-1/RFR-1 as well as a color image on the back of the jacket. This one doesn't show up too often.

Condition - The jacket shows light wear including light writing on front, light staining and a little bit of corner damage. The jacket grades at VG+. The record is shiny with mostly light hints of use, but there is a heavy mark on side one near the beginning that goes on for more than the last half of the first track, as well as another minute or so into the second track. The mark causes ticks that persist for about 5 minutes. The rest of the record looks and sounds good. Side one of the record grades at VG due to the heavy mark, but the rest of it sounds much better. Side two grades at Near Mint Minus Minus.

Regarding shipping - I ship quickly using new professional grade materials.

Regarding grading - I try to grade by Goldmine standards. I do not use the grade Mint on unsealed opened records or CDs. The highest grade I give to unsealed records or CDs is Near Mint. Grading here is strictly by sight.
