Description
Very rare , and collectable ," Party After Hours" on Aladdin records. All Aladdin 10" records are pretty rare indeed , and this one has a VERY high value , even in just fair condition. It features Amos Milburn, " Crown Prince " Waterford, Velma Nelson, and " Mister Blues " Harris . The cover was pretty bold for the time !
Record - I would grade the record as VG / VG- It has a shiny surface, and near perfect labels. There are a few small scratches on both sides, nothing deep. There is some noise on both sides , not bad for a microgroove record that is 67 years old ! There are no loud pops. Side 2, track 3, has a scratch or imperfection that made my tone arm jump one groove. ( It may not do that on your turntable as my table is extremely sensitive ) The record has not been played to death, and still has pretty good sound , enjoyable to listen too.
Cover - Hard to grade the cover. It has been neatly taped on all seams as they were probably all partly split , but it's solid. There is a tear near the woman's head , and 2 small scratches over " Party & After " . There is also some age discoloring.
Not a perfect item by any means, but is a affordable rarity, as VG + ones have sold for over $ 2000.00 !
