Description

 Here for sale is a very rare 3 1/2" Pathe' salon cylinder in original box with lid.

The recording is titled 'The Tail of a Skirt' and is a very rare cylinder with catalogue number 50.146 recorded in 1904 by famous music hall artist Marie Lloyd. The cylinder is in excellent condition with just a little surface mould at one place near the start of the recording. It is not chipped, cracked, or broken.

The cylinder comes with the original and correct box with correct lid.

Made in France, this size of cylinder was unique to pathe, and this auction presents a rare chance to add one to your phonograph or gramophone collection. They were made from around 1902 - 1910 and I have put an Edison box alongside in one of the photographs so that you can easily see the size difference of this type.

Postage is to allow for double boxing of this rare and delicate recording which I am happy to pack carefully and send worldwide.  Insurance is mandatory at a cost of US$10.00 in addition to the shipping charges as detailed below.  Any international Customs charges in the home country of the buyer will be the responsibility of the buyer.
