M = Perfect (seldom found unsealed)

VG++ = Faint scratches or scuffs that don't affect play
VG+ = played with care, tiny scratches, light surface noise seldom heard over song
VG = well played, surface noise heard during song, light scratches but no skips
VG- = very well played, scratches and scuffs, surface noise throughout, but no skips
G = lots of scratches and noise
P - filler till a better one comes along
Note: Tone can very greatly from player to player and setting to setting. I try to grade very conservatively., and I play test, not just a visual.
