Description
Vee Jay LP 1014. Maroon and silver label, deep groove, deep groove. 6 tracks with Adderley, alto sax; Wynton Kelly, piano; Philly Joe Jones, Freddie Hubbard, trumpet; Jimmy Cobb on some tracks in place of Jones on those tracks Hubbard is omitted. Fine bop to hard bop. Some hand clapping can be heard. Cover: VG. 4” and 6” top edge split. Some corner wear. 2” and 3” split on spine. Light record ring on the back cover with some light aging. A few small scuff marks on the front cover and a small tear near the corner (probably from an old price sticker). Record: VG+ or better. Visually shows no wear. Possibly played only a very few times. There is a small amount of noise at the beginning of Track 1, Side 1 with some clicks and light crackles. There is no visual markings on the record which would cause this noise. The sound disappears after several revolutions. There is some occasional light surface noise elsewhere on Side 1. This is light and much less noticeable. Side 2 has no noise. Please note I have rated this VG+ or better taking the noise described as in the VG+ range, the balance of the record is Mint(-). Audibly checked.
