Description

Original UK Island pink rim label stereo 1st press LP.

'Back Street Crawler' is the first solo album from Paul Kossoff recorded & released in 1973. Free had finally split up early in 1973, but Kirke, Rabbit & Tetsu contributed to the recording sessions. So did John Martyn and Jess Roden, as well as Alan White the drummer from Yes.

This is the first issue, with the earliest A-1U B-1U matrices and 1-H 1-L stampers.
The matt sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light edge/corner wear and light storage rubbing on the cover. The spine is intact and fully readable and the plain inner is intact & in EX condition.   The record is in visually EX condition, with no scratches or nasty marks & only a couple of faint hairlines/scuffs and some bag scuffing along part of one edge. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of a couple of faint spindle markings on either side. Overall, the record still retains all its original sheen and looks great.   The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops, hiss or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there some brief background noise during the run in grooves and overall a really great, loud & clear listen.   The matrix nos. are; ILPS-9264, A-1U mother stamper 1-H, B-1U mother stamper 1-L. This is one of the early pressings of the original 1973 1st UK stereo pressing of this album.
