Description
Paul McCartney Official The 7" Singles Box Vinyl Set. Ltd Edition - 2818/3000.
The 7″ Singles contains 80 vinyl seven-inch singles, starting with 1970’s ‘Another Day’ and working through the decades to ‘Women and Wives’ from 2020’s McCartney III.
There are 65 recreations of singles/promos using restored artwork from 11 different countries. Additionally 15 singles are included that have never before been issued on seven-inch. These are mostly digital-only releases or songs that were for other reasons not issued on seven-inch.
As you can imagine, 80 seven-inch singles requires a big box and so these are packaged in a two-piece, four-walled FSC-approved “Redwood pine and Birch Ply wooden art crate” manufactured in the United Kingdom.
This comes with a 148-page book containing foreword from Paul, essay by Rob Sheffield, recording notes, release dates, and chart information on each of the singles.
Some of the audio has been remastered and some of it is taken from the previous Archive Collection remasters. What has been remastered and what hasn’t, will be an interesting talking point and since certain albums haven’t been reissued yet (like Wings’ London Town and Back to the Egg) and Paul McCartney’s Give My Regards To Broad Street and Press to Play) this is an opportunity to hear some songs from those albums remastered for the first time (although a few cuts featured on 2016’s Pure McCartney).
This box set is limited to 3,000 units worldwide and according to the blurb, includes “1 exclusive test pressing randomly selected from the manufacturing process” in this case: Includes test pressing of Hi Hi Hi / C Moon
The box has been opened to check content, but records have not been played.
Shipping costs are the maximum amount. They will be calculated after address of winner of bid is available. If actual costs turn out lower the difference will be refunded to buyer
