Up for Sale is the RARE & OUT OF PRINT classic 1999 album from Paul McCartney Run Devil Run released ONLY in the UK on the Parlophone Label! This Lp has NOT ever been re-issued on Vinyl in the last 20+ years and it is a very fun Lp of old standards redone by McCartney, Gilmour, etc of Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Carl Perkins, etc songs PLUS 3 brand new ONLY on this album McCartney songs! ALSO UP FOR SALE is another RARE McCartney Lp, his 2012 RAM MONO album up for sale as well.
The Lp Side 1 I will grade as G at best because of the surface scratches that are on the Side 1 that are visible and you can feel them. From a collector's viewpoint and also a vinyl listener's viewpoint who doesn't mind some light crackle and pops here and there Side 1 looks worse than it sounds. On Side 1 there is some average crackle/pops at the very beginning before song 1 starts and some light crackle and pops heard through the 1st half of the song that taper off towards the end of Song 1. Song 2 there are a few light pops at the beginning, and a light pop here and there when the loud piano goes away, crackle heard at the very end. Song 3- some quick crackle at the beginning and the end of this song. Song 4- starts good, all the way thru is good, some crackle at the end of the song. Song 5- light crackle and a few light pops at the beginning, medium pop heard at the beginning/medium part of the song, rest of the song is good until the very, very end with some crackle & pops at the end when the song fades out. Song 6- starts and plays well until some crackle at the very end. Song 7- starts well, no real issues that I could hear. Song 8- starts well and plays good throughout.
The Lp Side 2 I will downgrade to somewhere between a Vg/Vg+. Again, the Lp sounds better than it looks. Song 1- crackle and pops heard at the very beginning, little louder than the start of Side 1, they taper off quickly as the song gets going, light crackle at the end. Song 2 starts and plays fine, Song 3 starts and plays well, super light crackle at the very end, Song 4- starts and plays well, Song 5- starts and plays well, super light pop at the very end, Song 6- starts and plays well, Song 7- starts and plays well throughout, crackle heard as the record is ending.
The Cover I will grade somewhere between a very, very Solid VG+/Vg++ there are no serious rips, tears or hole punches and for a 20+ year album cover it looks very nice. The personalized insert has 3 tears on all 3 sides, they are all photographed.
