Description
Parlophone 7243-5-22351-1-7. In March 1999 Sir Paul assembled a small band in Studio 2, Abbey Road, and banged out an album the old-fashioned way, live in the studio, 15 songs in a week. The result is one of McCartney's coolest albums, mostly covers of tunes from his pre-Beatles days in Liverpool, a handful of originals, and all with a unique spin. Don't listen for Elvis in "All Shook Up" or Buddy in "Brown Eyed Handsome Man," for example.
The record is in very good-plus condition, having taken several spins on my vintage, lovingly preserved Dual turntable. The cover is in very good condition as well. There's a tiny "Made in the U.K." sticker over the "I" in "Devil," and that starburst with "Paul McCartney" on it is also a sticker. Nice liner notes on the inner sleeve tell the story of making the album and a little bit about each song.
