Description
This sale is for an EMI recording of Paul Tortelier performing J.S Bach's Cello Suites (SLS. 798/3) The recording was originally made in 1963 but these LPs were issued on the later EMI green 'dog in stamp' labels in the 1970's. The 3 discs in this set are in excellent condition and free from any marks or surface damage, they retain a bright clean sheen. I took the time to play grade this set and confirm all 6 sides play as they look with a clean rich sound and free from any distortion or audible faults. The box shows a little more wear; the front is a little dusty from storage, there is a 1cm patch/ abrasion to the bottom edge and the lightest of wear to the corners. However these do do detract too much from the overall look and the box is structurally strong, the box also contains the booklet penned by Tristram Cary. The price here includes UK postage and packaging. A great recording of a fantastic performance offered here for a great price, thanks you for looking.
