Description
You are bidding on the 3LP vinyl set Fly on the Wall by Paul Weller. Please note that Side 1 of this copy of the record suffers from a manufacturing defect. At the plant, apparently, Side 1 was 'double stamped' with a center label, as illustrated in the photo. The second label juts into the grooves of the record itself, rendering the final two tracks on Side 1 unplayable. I do not know if it is possible to remove the label from the grooves. For the purpose of this auction, Side 1 should be considered unplayable and excluded from the gradings of Sides 2-6.
Sides 2-6 of the record are conservatively graded VG+. There are no significant scuffs or scratches. The record has been kept in storage for 15 years and I do not believe I ever played it -- I would have noticed the manufacturing defect on Side 1 and would have returned it to the store if I had!
Inner sleeves are NM-. Record outer sleeve is VG+, nice overall except for bottom seam on back side of record, which is starting to become a little unglued.
Overall, this is a good chance to acquire a copy of this album on vinyl for less than it usually sells for. Good luck!
